Today we’re going to talk about PBR’s Super 60 Pro Showcase… This event is in it’s 17th season and is an invite only event for top prospects throughout the Country. Last year, an amazing 150 professional scouts of all levels were in attendance. Most Major League teams had 4-6 scouts of all levels there to scout potential players! History of Players Being Drafted
Since the event started in 2003, more than 300 players have been selected in the MLB Draft, including 18 first-round picks, 20 second-rounders, and countless late-round players. Last year’s seven players were drafted in the Top 6 rounds, including Jarred Kelenic, who was the highest selection at 6th overall by the New York Mets. Other players drafted last season were Alek Thomas pick 63 of the Diamondbacks, Mateo Gil pick 95 of the Cardinals, Drew Rom pick 115 of the Orioles, William English pick 151 of the Angels, PJ Hilson pick 166 of the Giants, and Kohl Franklin pick 188 of the Cubs. When & Where
The Super 60 will be held on Sunday, February 3 at the Max-McCook Athletic & Exposition Center. It is a state-of-the-art 125,000 square-foot open turf facility in McCook, IL. The address is 4750 S. Vernon Ave., McCook IL 60525. McCook is a suburb Southwest of Chicago.
Position players and catchers will check in between 8:10-8:40 a.m.
Pitchers will check in between 10:40 – 11:00 p.m.
Pitchers should conclude around 3:30 p.m.
This is a Showcase Event for Elite Players in the Country!! If you think you have what it takes to compete at the professional level this is the event to be at!! Remember that you can control your Attitude and your Effort, so prepare like you want it more than anyone else and go all out when you get the chance!!
